Your Vacation Details

French River Lodge is situated on a wilderness island. There isn't a better way to get away from your everyday existence then by retreating to our beautiful and secluded location. You can be assured of all the peace and privacy you require on your vacation adventure. To ensure that our guests get top-notch service we have our own Diesel Generated Electric power. This lighting power is available from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. everyday.

Experience all the comforts of cottage-living. Our cottage's stoves and hot water heaters are run on propane. The refrigerators are electric and pressurized, water is available in the cottages 24 hours a day. The water is filtered and treated according to very strict health standards.

Boats & Motors

The lodge provides well-maintained Lund boats with 20hp Honda motors. In your boat you will find:

  • Life Jackets
  • Cushions
  • Swivel Seats
  • All standard safety equipment required to help provide you with a safe freshwater adventure.

Our Motors are 4-stroke, and have electric starters. These motors are fully insured subject to a $500 deductible. The boats are not equipped with running lights and can not be used after dark.

If you bring your own boat & motor please make sure it carries all the equipment required under the new Coast Guard Regulations.

A Special Note:
In 2009 Boating regulations in Canada require all Canadian boaters to have a Pleasure Craft Operator Card.   You can take the Exam Online at www.safeboater.com or at www.BoaterExam.com.   NON-Residents when renting our boats do a Safe boating check list.
